The first International symposium on Prof. Raimon Panikkar was held in Barcelona from 20th to 23rd February 2002, under the title, The Intercultural Philosophy of Raimon Panikkar. It was organized by Intercultura(Barcelona) and Centre UNESCO de Catalunya; it was originally conceived and skillfully coordinated by Augusti Nicoau who is working for Intercultura at the Intercultura at the Institut Interculturel de Montreal.
The path to peace must be initiated with dialogue. With this thought an International Seminar on Prayer. Peace, and Unconditional Love and the Works of Raimon Panikkar’ was conducted by K.J. Somaiya Bharatiya Sanskriti Peetham from 20th to 23rd December 2005 at the Somaiya Campus, Vidyavihar,Mumbai, India.
The Third International Conference on Prof. Fr. Raimon Panikkar was held in Seoul, Korea from 7th June 2007 to 9th June 2007, hosted by Yonsei University and Sogang University. The theme of the Conference was Religious Dialogue, Cultural Harmony, and Sacred Secularity: Ramon Panikkar’s thoughts and His Contributions’.
These Seminars are homage to the great scholar of the century. Though all papers presented in the Seminar were full of wisdom, only those which focused on Raimon Panikkar’s thoughts are included in this book. We believe that the present book renders insight in the treasure of Prof. Raimon Panikkar’s thoughts.
